I recently bought a Logitech X - 530 5.1 speaker set and its been working fine except for one thing. The surround sound doesnt work! only two of the speakers work but the rest wont. If it helps i have the stock sound card and my laptop is a Asus F3sg. So i went back to the shop and they told me that it would only work on movies and I tested one yesterday and only the two speakers work (even when the cd had "surround" printed on it. Do i need to change the settings in control Panel or what?. Thnx in advance for the help.

You need a 5.1 or 7.1 sound card for the surround to work. Otherwise it acts like a 2.1 system. You might be able to find a PCMCIA 5.1 sound card but I can't guarantee that you will.
