photo management software

Hi i'm currently using acd pro 2 to manage all my digital photos and it is good but I can't place different text to appear on each photo without altering the actual photo. I can have a header but it is the same text appearing for each photo. Is there any program out they that can allow me to have text appear on each photo when i view it without altering the actual photo?

Let me know if I understand you correctly. You want a program that produces a caption, which appears to be embedded into the picture, but doesn't actually alter the image?

If I understood you correctly, then all I can say is I don't know of any programs that can do this. Sorry.

Yes thats pretty much it. I would like to have a caption of text on the photo saying what it is without having it saved on the photo so I can still be able to print out copies later without having text all over it. Guess I can't then.

Well, don't take my opinion as Gospel. There could very well be something out there that can do this that I am not aware of.
