Hi all.
We have an old E.SYSTEM Laptop and the Letter 'K' no longer works. I have managed to remove the Button from the Keyboard and when I make the Sensor underneath the Button, a vertical dash appears on the Screen. I can never get it to write a Letter 'K' when pressing the Sensor. Does anyone know what this problem is and how to rectify it. Another thing, I now cannot re-attach the Button to the plastic clip on the Keyboard. So I would also like to know how this is achieved. Many thanks. Steve. |

Unless you broke something when you popped it off, you should be able to reattach it just by placing it where it's supposed to be and applying pressure until it clicks.
As to the problem, it's likely being caused by some short in the keyboard. You might try removing the keyboard and cleaning it with rubbing alcohol, but if that doesn't work, you probably need to replace the keyboard, and I don't think you'll be able to find a replacement for an old, off-brand machine like that. |
