The V8 is probably a better cooler than the noctura.

I've heard the V8 runs about the same temps as a Noctua NH-U12P SE1366.
V8 definitely looks sweet though.

Both are good coolers, they have pretty much the same temps. The noctura isnt really worth the price imo, but a good cooler nonetheless.

JUST PLACED THE ORDER. LOL. After days of contemplating.
1 x Intel Core i7 920 Quad Core Processor LGA1366 2.66GHZ Bloomfield 8MB LGA1366 4.8GT/S 1 x Noctua NH-U12P SE1366 LGA1366 i7 Heatpipe Cooler W/ 2XNH-P12 120MM Fan 1 x ASUS P6T X58 ATX LGA1366 DDR3 3PCI-E16 PCI-E1 2PCI CrossFire SLI SATA2 GBLAN Motherboard 1 x Corsair XMS3 TR3X6G1600C7 6GB DDR3 3X2GB DDR3-1600 CL 7-7-7-20 1T Core i7 Memory Kit 1 x XFX Radeon HD 4890 XXX 1GB 900MHZ 1GB 3.9GHZ GDDR5 PCI-E 2XDVI HDTV Video Card 1 x Cooler Master Haf 932 Full Tower Black EATX Case 6X5.25 1X3.5 5X3.5INT No PSU USB eSATA 1394 Audio 1 x Corsair TX750W 750W ATX 12V 60A 24PIN ATX Power Supply Active PFC 140MM Fan 1 x Western Digital Caviar SE16 640GB SATA2 7200RPM 16MB Hard Drive OEM 3YR MFR Warranty 1 x Samsung SH-S223Q/BEBS 22X DVD+-RW SATA DVD Writer Black Lightscribe OEM 1 x Please Use The Onboard Sound Card Integrated On My Motherboard 1 x Please Use The Onboard Network Ethernet Card Integrated On My Motherboard 1 x PC Assembly and Testing with 1 Year Limited NCIX System Warranty (PRE-CONFIG OS If Purchased) --- = $1974 CAD shipped (shipping insurance, tax, everything included) That's 1,696.00 USD shipped for all you Americans. You may notice I didn't include an OS. Why? Well, I'm going to be using Windows 7 RC, and then when it's released I'll figure out what I want to do. Honestly, I couldn't bring myself to spend $170 for Windows Vista.
