P/C slow as molassas after McAffe install
Hi all,
Help! My Norton subscription expired and instead of $50.00 per year renewel, I installed McAfee which I discovered was free as a comcast subscriber. Install went fine but now my P/C is 75% slower. I'm not very computer literate. I have a 4 year old Compaq Presario with 144GB (memory?) with 50GB free. In terms of RAM it shows 2.20GHz, 448MB. I did some searching and discovered that most anti virus programs are 'hogs" but McAffee seems to be one of the biggest. Would appreciate any suggestions on another anti virus program, preferably free as I'm currently unemployed. Thank you! |
