Default Need Help Building a Stable PC

Hi im looking for some advice on what hardware i should get to build a stable pc for gaming and 3D modeling, i would like it to have windows vista inistalled on it. Im a university student so my budget is a bit limited, im aiming for a £500. With the new games coming out such as Diablo 3 , battlefiled 1943 im going to be needing 4 gb min ram, 512 min graphics card and a fairly fast CPU. I have build a Desktop before but I have failed to get matching hardware. I have a Nvidia graphics card in the past and i have had bad experiences with it, i would like to get a Ati card this time. If anyone knows a good set of hardware that will match each other ( so there not bottle necking ) please reply and let me know.

Thank you.

not really noticable unless you do hardcore rendering, modeling, video editing etc. in those cases you would just go to the i7 anyway.

I would personally go am3, and not even think about intel socket 775 as it is end of life, and no new cpu releases on that platform, so be warned that in the future, if you get socket 775 then you will need a new mobo and cpu when you upgrade. Id go for something like this:

Mobo:
http://www.ebuyer.com/product/158608
CPU:
http://www.ebuyer.com/product/159071
Memory:
http://www.ebuyer.com/product/166463

Triple core>Dual core, same price, and DDR3, with a crossfire capable motherboard too

Dont skimp on a power supply,if it fails, it usually takes out other components alongside it.
New? Dont forget to read the rules. Heatware
P.M. If interested in Shin Etsu X23-7783D
