Default csv file

have a list of numbers i need to load into an program, says i need to upload as a csv file, so this is just each number seperated by a comma? do i really need excel to do this or is there an easier way to convert my list to a csv file (word or notepad)

a CSV is a comma separated file yes, you will need to separate each number with a comma, this can be saved as a .txt file. If you have this in .xls format, you can google 'xls to csv' for a bunch of resources such as:

already tried to do this in notepad and just get a message '0 items inserted into database and 0 items discarded'. wondered if there was something i needed to add to the start of the file so its recognised as a csv file
