Ok so I'm planning a new build even though It will be about a month possibly 2 before I get it but won't to go ahead a pretty much lock down what I'm getting. I'm probably going to use 2 4890 but possibly 2 4870 x2 so what would be the best motherboard for this.

I keep reading on reviews of AM3 boards that they only support DDR3 1333MHz and you have to overclock it to 1600MHz whats up with that.

without an i7 overclocked your going to get bottlenecks on that many cards. there is almost no advantage to four over just two anyway, even without any bottlenecking. just go for two cards, don't waste the money.

You must have read the question before I changed it but I have decided to go with 2 4890s. The only reason I was going to use 4 is so I could have 8 monitors. I know what you think 8 is to many but at $150 a piece it is cheaper then buying most 50" TVs. Any ways I'm going to use 4 monitors now and get something like this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824994004 so I'm all good now.

you can't run X-fire with multiple monitors though. you can have two gfx cards for them yes, but they will not be in crossfire mode. i believe they are going to change this with some new drivers soon, but as of right now you can't.
