Exclamation Readyboost drive problem

Hey guys,

Okay ive been using a 4gb Pen drive as a dedicated readyboost drive for months now and all of a sudden windows is saying its not fast enough and wont enable readyboost again?

Its been working great for months.
Theres nothing wrong with the pen drive....what could it be?

mm interesting, try deleting the cache file, and scan and see if it will work.?

Was it from a Windows update maybe? Install any updates?

With 5GB of RAM what kind of performance gain would you even see with a pen drive running ready boost?

Speaking of which...what kind of config are you running to have 5gb? 2x2 and then 2x512mb? Although i think he may be using readyboost with his netbook.

^yah, he must have it running on the net book, cause you would not get any performance gain with 5gigs already in his system.

yes like you said...in dual channel

i have installed updates recently come to think of it.

nope...on my main system,i do notice a diffrence actualy,windows boots faster and programs appear more responsive imo.

EDIT:I formated the drive on my Netbook and tried to enable Readyboost again on my main system and it worked lol.
