Okay, I really have two problems. I've been using onboard sound for the last 7 months, and it's been fine (Asus P5K Deluxe). All of the sudden, it stopped working. All I was getting was a clicking noise (about 120 beats per minute) constantly. "...Click-click-click..." I have a Soundblaster card from Creative installed as well, but my audio was being provided from the onboard sound on the P5K. I tried installing the Soundblaster drivers, but it tells me that the card is not plugged in... however, if I go to the device manager, it shows up. Therefore, the card is not completely faulty. I extracted the drivers myself, and attempted to install them via the device manager (instead of the installation wizard), which installed the drivers, told me to reboot my computer, and in the end, didn't change anything. I tried updating the drivers for my onboard sound, but that didn't help. What's going on here? How can I fix one of the two (either get rid of the onboard clicking, or install my soundblaster drivers). I tried kX audio drivers for my soundblaster card, but it couldn't detect the card either.
