im trying to make a movie but i get this message when i import a video
The file C:\Users\Sunny\Desktop\Family DVD Folder\SANY0016.MP4 cannot be imported because the codec required to play the file is not installed on your computer. If you have already tried to download and install the codec, close and restart Windows Movie Maker, and then try to import the file again. is their way for me to make the video work in windows movie maker so i can edit it and if not what is a good free movie converter thank you |

Hello,
Have you actually tried to download the codec? Try to install K-Lite: http://www.codecguide.com/download_kl.htm And try again. I personally use nero , its nice and easy to use and haven't an into many problems. As far as free, try http://protectedsoft.com/products.php and look for final free burner.
