Default Is there a reason why Lightscribe hasnt caught on yet?

I mean its quite popular in prebuilds, but its not really known to be a great piece of tech. First time i used one i thought, wow, but i think its the decline of disks which makes it not that useful.

Because sharpies are just as good and you can buy cheaper media.

Plus labels can be printed immensely faster, in color as well. Lightscribe takes 15minutes or so PER DISC, its just useless imo.

Light-scribe compatible media costs too much compared to the alternative.

I bought a Lightscribe burner for my new build I figured what the hell. I really didn't think I'd use it much but I started and can't stop now. Yes the burn times for a full disc label is just under 20 minutes in the best mode. I like having the lightscribe labels they are a lot better and nicer looking then a sharpie or stick on label. It never rubs off or smears either. The disc are slightly more expensive still. At my local Walmart you get 20lightscribe disc for the price of 30 non-lightscribe disc. For something I'm going to keep that's not really a bad price.
