Exclamation Close this this thread mods I solved the problem!

Every other time I open my computer it says something about my bios and the time and boot priority stuff is reseted and every time on this black screen it says something about a fast track controller or something and than bios version 1.something and than in the next line it says bios is not installed!
and sometimes when i try to watch a csi episode I lag when I try to move it to another timing!

CMOS Setting Wrong
CMOS Date/Time Not Set

I have windows XP SP3 installed
2gb ram ddr2
Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.80 GHz
and 256mb graphic card

and how do I update the bios?

its version 1007.003
brand is American Megatraends

What should I do to stop these problems?

BTW I got this computer from my friend for free and im playing around with it!

Sounds like it's time to replace the cmos battery. Take the round battery out and go to walmart or a store in your area and match it up. Should be a cr2032 battery but not always.

Your keyboard cable may be loose. Lagging may be due to a bad network card driver, bad internet connection, etc.
