Where my dad works, he got points for this site where you could get some rather cool stuff. He gave us all some points and let us get what we wanted. I'd been wanting a GPS for a while, so he purchased me this beast...
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...herone/GPS.jpg Now it's a cheaper one that won't allow actual maps, but as you can see, it can get rather detailed in what it can show(such as exits along a highway) Now, I got a copy of the software for it, but it's horrible. The maps only allow you to download 'chunks' of the map to the memory. I'd like to get the whole state of North Carolina(which would probably fit) but how the chunks are made, you have to get much of surrounding states, so I can't get but about 1/4 of the state in here :-/ Anyway, I'm wondering if there's a way to convert the maps down to something that'd fit within the limits of my GPS. Maybe somehow that I could export the map from MapSource then edit it down so it's just North Carolina... Any suggestions of how to do this?
