Default Adding RAM to Advent 4214

Hi guys, I just signed up to ask for your help.

I have purchased an Advent 4214 and I want to upgrade the RAM.
I have found the RAM that I need, and I decided to do some research to find out exactly HOW to do this.
I tried youtube, because nothing would be better than actually seeing someone do this, but I could only find a video for the 4211.
With the 4211, the RAM is built in and there is a slot where you add the new RAM.
I've had a look inside my 4214, and I can't see any such slot, but I can see that the RAM that's in there can be easily removed and replaced.
I can guess at the answer, but £250 is a lot to lose if my guess is wrong, so I'm asking you guys, when I get my new RAM, do I replace the chip (or whatever you call it) that's already in the 4214, or is there somewhere else I'm supposed to slot it in?

Thanks in advance for your help!, and I'm sorry if my terminology is off, I'm not the best at this sort of technical stuff!
