I'm a newbie, so I basically have no idea what's going on with my computer, and I don't know what sort of action I should take. I have a couple of questions, so yea. If anyone can answer anything, that would be great. And it's probably asking for too much, but if you can refrain from getting really technical with me and just giving me a general idea, that would be appreciated.. Thanks!!!! =/

Basically, YouTube works fine on Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer, any other browser I use. I can still search up videos and all that, but the sign up page or the log in page doesn't connect on any of them. I think I've recently been infected so I know what caused this devastating problem. I only have the vaguest idea of what's going on with my computer. I also just found out about the "error console" on Firefox... can anyone explain what that does? I feel like it has something to do with this problem..???

I'm also wondering if anyone knows whats going on with YouTube? Every site I usually go on works perfectly, it's just YouTube, and I highly doubt YouTube is experiencing its own difficulties.. I've done a bit of research and I've read that these types of problems occur when Java is messed up or something?? Anyone please explain that??

And finally, I've considered reformatting my computer. I don't have anything backed up on a CD, but first I want to see if reformatting it would actually work and fix this problem before I spend money on that (because I have an Acer Aspire One, nowhere to put CDs). I'm not tech savvy at all, so this is the one solution I feel very inclined to resort to... so if anyone can explain anything before I do another stupid thing I'll deeply regret for years to come, that would be great... so thanks again!!
