Default windows installer error

I'm trying to install AVG and I get this message: "This installation package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists and that you can access it or contatct the application vendor to verify this is a valid Windows Installtion package." I'm pretty sure this is from uninstalling norton antivirus.

um...you may want to clean up some of your files. I assume you know how to do that.

run check disk-doesn't often times help but sometimes.

try that and see what happens. i'm not really good with this stuff but i'm tying to move up a rank so i'm posting something that can possibly help. *laughs*
