Yup, last comment is absolutely correct. Think about how much time you've already spent trying to get it "clean". Simply put, you'll spend a LOT more time, and have much more frustration than if you just re-install your operating system. Even when you think you've gotten rid of everything, the machine may still end up being a little sluggish and give you issues from time to time.
If you can manage to get into "safe" mode as mentioned above, try to: 1) Transfer any files you want to keep to a USB / Flash Drive / CD (Any form of removable media will do). 2) Re-install your operating system. 3) Install new anti-virus / malware etc. programs. 4) Insert removable media and SCAN FIRST. Those files may easily have already been corrupted from the previous Operating System (OS). 5) Clean or delete any infected files on the media. 6) Finish transfering the CLEN data back onto your computer. 7) FINAL STEP - If at all possible, try not to visit sites that have illegal content / software / adult websites etc.... Many of these sites may well have viruses and really mess things up on your comp. Keep your virus protection up at all times and maybe even a firewall like "ZoneAlarm" with basic settings. |
