Default Somethings wrong here

Ok, i have 2 80gb hard drives. The slave drive is messing up on me though. It randomly starts turning off and then spinning back up again just to turn off again not even a second later. Once it starts this little process it won't stop til i reboot. It also can't b good for the drive. Anyone got a clue why this is happening?

Are any of your other components acting up, or just that drive? Could be a power issue, or maybe the drive is just no longer any good. make sure the IDE cable and power cable are firmly plugged into the drive and the m/b.

Seems like it would be related to the specific hardware, the drive itself, so if thats the case, not much you would be able to do, unless get it rapaired under warranty. you could try reinstalling a driver, but now that I think of it, there arent any drivers I know of for your hard drive.

Default Lol

Let me guess... is it a Western Digital HDD? Mine does that when (even a tiniest bit) the power connector is not 100% slammed in.
