Bios upgrade

I have a Sony Vaio VGN-AR630e and I need to upgrade the Bios revision because of problems when turning it on. My screen has half american language and some giberish I don't recognize. Can someone steer me in the right direction. It has a Phoenix bios revision R1050j8 but Phoenix does not show up anywhere in the bios downloads. It has A Intel motherboard PM965
and Intel 82801hbm number but that does not show anywhere either. What am I dealing with??? Thanks to all who reply!

Sony does not list any bios updates for that model of laptop.

OK now the problem is how do I renew the bios on this thing? It has to be done! There has to be a way!

try to check the sony offical site for newly updates for yours laptop.

sony does provide the roms updates in its support and download section.

i hope u can find there.
