I need help DWD not working??

Hey everyone

I have big problem about DVD in my computer. Basically when I put CD or DVD is not reading but is work.

you need to updates your dvd roms firmware, right click on my computer select properties, hardware and choose device manager.

click on cd/dvd roms to expand it and u will see your dvd drive mine looks like this:

you see the hi lighted text? thats my rom and what urs will be? and way you can either google that with firemware update at the end of it or go the the make of the drives official website to download its firmware.

MAKE sure its the correct one those as it cant be ininstalled.

DO NOT update the firmware right off the bat, most likely its some other issue. Look in device manager first to see that is shows up. Then look in my computer to see if it shows up there. If it don't then you need to look at possibly deleting the upper and lower filters to get it to reappear. Or you could just have a bad drive, try blowing it out with compressed air before buying a new one.
