I like RAM, lots of it! But right now all I have is 3GB.
I would love more! How on earth can I do this? I've heard about the odd 3GB RAM limit, but some people have said that I could have 4GB in a computer like mine. So what is it, 3 or 4 as the limit??? My System: 2008 Dell 1520 Laptop Intel Core 2 Duo CPU T7500 @ 2.20GHz 3GB DDR2 SDRAM 670MHz Samsung 226GB HDD nVIDIA 8600m GT GPU (from Dell, so yeah....) DVD+-RW 1280x800 matte finish screen Windows XP-SP3 (32-bit?) What can I do to add more RAM and speed this machine up even more. Given, it already runs really fast. But I want to know how to make it faster, Do I add a 64-bit OS alone? Do I need a different prcessor (as if I could find one), Would it be better to just build another computer? Do i need just one of those changes or a mixture of them? You tell me. I dont really know the answer to these questions, and I would love to learn. Because one of these days I'm going to build a NICE desktop for work and gaming.
