K7S5A Mobo Prob

aight,
wen eva i hook my mobo up and put the video card nothing ever comes up on the screen and i dont kno what the problem is, it looks like erything is in the right spot but it never seems to work, and if i put some memory sticks in there it makes a beeping noise 4 times then pauses and does it again and again and i dont kno what that it is either. The problem is that nothing ever comes up when i turn the power on.........
Any Suggestions??

AMI BIOS Beep Code 4 Beeps:
System timer not operational. There is problem with the timer(s) that control functions on the motherboard.

Fatal error indicating a serious problem with the system. Consult your
system manufacturer. Before declaring the motherboard beyond all
hope, eliminate the possibility of interference by a malfunctioning
add-in card. Remove all expansion cards except the video adapter.
• If beep codes are generated when all other expansion cards are
absent, consult your system manufacturer’s technical support.
• If beep codes are not generated when all other expansion cards are
absent, one of the add-in cards is causing the malfunction. Insert
the cards back into the system one at a time until the problem
happens again. This will reveal the malfunctioning card.

lol only beeps i know are repetead 6 second beeps that just means your ram isnt incerted correctly

You don't have to memorize the beep codes, just have to know where to look them up

hahaha ooops yea its six beeps
but thats solved.
my next problem is nothing is showing up when i hook my video card up and plug it in.
The computer runs but nothing shows up on the monitor. I know its not the video card because it worked in my other computer.

when you turn on your computer all the fans should run at max speed for a few second and then die down, if it doesn't die down and nothing shows up on the monitor it could mean that your cpu is busted.

i had the same problem here with a k7s5a.
push the vga card a bit deeper into the slot. the metal plate of the card may fit into the case, but that doesnt mean the card is fully in place. (at least that solved my problem with a mx440 vga card.)
