Default Buying a used gaming demo computer

hey guys, im thinking about buying a demonstration computer from a gaming pc store and i wanna know if i m getting a good deal.

a friend suggested it as he is friends with the owner
it looks pretty good its gets 120fps on halflife2 and has a pretty high 3d mark score

amd 64 3200+ 1mb cache (scket 754 2000mhx fsb (extreme edition chip)
zalman 600gram pure coper 5000 rpm cpu fan
1 gb ocz pc3200 400mhz ram
ati x800 xt platinum video card with thermaltake giant 3 1.1kg aluminum/copper heat sink and 100000 rpm blower

480w power suplly
4 speed front fan controlor
front audio connections
metel case with window
8usb 2.0 ports -2 front 6 back
front and back fire wire ports
multio collor neon light
7.1 channal sourond sound
dvd burner
9 in one card reader
anolog and digital temperature displays
80 gb sata hard drive


its just the computer itself with no accessories and it going to cost me 1400 canadian... or about 950 american

what do you think?

we need specific specs, the more specific the more we can help

what mobo? its a 754?
what hdd?
what psu?
what case?
what dvd burner?

but i would have to say to get it, its a pretty good deal

I think it a good deal. I help a friend buld somthing like that pc but yours is alittle better for around 1000 US.

I assure you there is no such processor. The A64-3200 you speak of has a 200MHz FSB (like almost every other processor) and runs a hypertransport of 800Mhz (1600MHz DDR) and is not a "Extreme edition" processor

Yes it's a 754 mobo (since its a 754 chip and the system "works"))

Not a bad setup but you can potentially do better for 1400CAD, noticeably better
