Hard Drive Failing?

Can someone help me, I just ran PC Diagnostics. It tested the CPU, Ram and then the Hard Drive. Ram and CPU passed but the HD failed the test. Here is a picture below of the result. What does it mean

It just means one of the SMART tests failed. SMART tries to predict when a hard drive is close to failing hence the suggestion to backup your data.

It is not fully conclusive if it will fail
The best test would be to format the drive, remove all partitions, then test again
But best to backup whilst you're not sure if it will fail at the moment or not

buy a new hard drive, back up all your stuff, and use the current one until it blows.

Can you actually use the hard drive? Does it show up on "My Computer"? Also, if this is all true, have you checked how much space is left. You can do that by going to "My Computer"/right click - properties/and you'll see how much space is available.

yeah it does display in my computer, it has 90GB free of 287GB

one question, if its still in warranty can I send it off to HP for replacement?
