Default Make up your mind corsair

So my computer is almost finished but im stuck here.

On one page it says " The eps12v power connector has a detachable 4-pin mechanism in order to support either a 8 pin socket or a 4 pin 'p4/12v' socket on the motherboard

But then on the next page it says " Warning: The detachable 4 pin from the 24 pin main connector is not a P4 or 12V connector. Serious damage can be caused if you use it in place of P4 or 12V connector"

Im confused... Help please??

I have the Corsair tx650w

24pin= ATX Motherboard connector. Older motherboards use a 20pin, and you can disconnect 4 pins from it if you dont need it.

EPS12v= 4pin/8pin CPU Power connector. Some motherboards use 4 pins, some 8 pins.

Ok, and what is this eps12v connector called? I have one cord with the 24 pin connector, 2 cords with 4 pins connectors that say PCI-E ( they look like they would fit the 4 pin slot ), and the rest of the connectors are for fans and graphics card.

4+4pin (Like your corsair, the cable on the right):

The cable on the right would be. The cable on the left is the 24pin connector.

(Those cables are from a TX650 so yours should look pretty much identical)

So basically, DO NOT disconnect that 4pin plug from the 20+4 plug and plug it into a 4pin CPU port.

I think that's what they're trying to say.

Lastly, my fans only connect to the power supply right? No where to connect them to the mobo?

Depends on the fans....But If they are 4 pin molex, then yes, into the power supply.
