Default Good quality graphic/drawing tablet at discount price?

Where can I find good quality graphic/drawing tablets at a discount price? I want something as big as a normal sheet of paper active area 11x8.5 or more. But nothing too expensive under 200$ but I guess that's a stretch isn't it? as then it would most likely be poorly constructed and manufactured? I really want to get a touch screen monitor or a touchscreen graphic/drawing tablet but those are expensive well at least the touch screen graphic/drawing tablets are. But anyway I've found some but I want to see more recommendations. Through google it tends to point me towards wacom which is obviously the best brand at these tablets but is also expensive but obviously good quality. Any other recommendations I have a few in mind but I just want to see what others have to say or have to recommend first.

Just break down and get a wacom. You can get a smaller one for about $100 most places. Might as well get a quality one now than risk getting a junk one. My girlfriend has one that's I think 4x6" and it's pretty nice. Plus neither the mouse or pen use batteries.
