ok do you have an internal speaker to hear if it is posting?? Or can you hear the harddrive loading?? If not then I would check your 4-pin power connector as it will cause similar problems.
You might want to try and switch memory slots and reset the cmos. I would suspect the 4-pin connector from your power supply though. |

yes it would not post but the cpu fan would still run as it gets power from the 20 pin
I had the same problem with a computer of mine and I lucky had another power supply and that is what fixed it. Last edited by jasonn20; 10-01-2009 at 01:49 AM. |

If your computer is NOT posting I would remove the heatsink and place a finger on the cpu. Then turn the pc on and see if it starts to heat up if so shut off immedialty (unplug it) and reinstall heatsink. If it is not getting warm than your cpu is not getting power either from a bad voltage regulator circuit on your motherboard or your power supply is not giving it power via the 4-pin connector beside the heatsink.
If your computer IS posting but with no video than I would suspect a bad MB or GPU. if you are getting a screen for a sec or two when powered on than I would swap out memory stick. Last edited by jasonn20; 10-01-2009 at 03:16 AM. |

You are correct, the red card is the graphics card. Try taking out your graphics card, blow at (or vacuum) all the dust that maybe in the slot, and put the card back in. Make sure the card is completely in and see if that works or not.
