CPUz or PC Wizard are probably some of the most informative programs... But I'm not sure how much you'd really get from a laptop/ Why exactly do you need the motherboard make/model/whatever?

I really don't think it's possible without opening the laptop up because usually there is a code on all motherboards that you can use to find out.

Oh it's certainly possible, just most laptops seem to be either very generic (simply the brand of the computer) or very specific (only one kind of model). Again, I'm not sure what is trying to be found, but I'm a little doubtful the motherboard model will be of much help...

You can also chat with HP:

Or you can use: EVEREST Ultimate Edition, program to locate all system hardware specs of your computer
