So, you might want to advise your parents, that free Antivirus is just as good (and sometimes better) than bought Antivirus.
In my view, replacing bought AVG IS for free Avira would be much better and obviously cheaper for them

Remember your AVG paid for probably came with a Firewall protection whereas most free does not include Firewall, you may have to rely on Windows Firewall for that protection unless you get a seperate third party one.
