Default AVG going to expire, temporary free alternative?

My AVG Internet Security is going to expire in a couple of days, i won't have any money to renew for a few weeks, so what is a good free alternative i can use for a while?

After you uninstall AVG you must then run the AVG Remover Tool: http://www.avg.com/download-tools
Then Restart

Download and install free Avira Antivirus: http://www.free-av.com/
Install > Update > Run a full scan (seeming you had AVG before)

I use AVG Free and Firefox with Adblock and Noscript. Honestly, I don't think you could be much safer if you used the same programs/settings...

I have adblock, but what is noscript?
I don't pay for the AVG, my parents do and it's their choice to renew.. probably should have mentioned that.

So, you might want to advise your parents, that free Antivirus is just as good (and sometimes better) than bought Antivirus.
In my view, replacing bought AVG IS for free Avira would be much better and obviously cheaper for them

Remember your AVG paid for probably came with a Firewall protection whereas most free does not include Firewall, you may have to rely on Windows Firewall for that protection unless you get a seperate third party one.
