Hey guys,
I need some tips on increasing my download speeds. I can never get above 35 kb/sec, and the average is around 20kb/sec. The file I am trying to download right now is around 200 mb. How can I make the download go faster? Please don't suggest downloading accelerators because they rarely work and it takes too long. I just need some tips on optimizing it and stuff. I don't have a wireless or dial-up internet connection. I am connected using a cable modem. Any tips are appreciated. Thanks!

It may not be within your power to increase your download speed. You need to remember that you can only download as quick as the upload, so that may be the problem. Also try going here, www.speedtest.net and post your results here.

Do you know what cable speed you are paying for? Has it always been this slow or did it just start doing this? Have you tried resetting modem and router? have you tried scanning for malware/viruses? Your not giving us much to go on.

wow that score is worse than mine. Your either getting ripped off or you have gone over your download limit. (mine is 25gb )
