Default Newegg raise prices on 800mhz ram?

i was looking on newegg for some extra ram, and i was like WTF 60$ for 4 gigs???

about 2 months ago you could get that for 40 bucks!

What is this? any ideas?

60 for 4 gigs? thats actually not bad, depending on the ram. i dont honestly remember prices ever being as low as $10 per gb.

i don't think the price increases have been terribly drastic yet. but as you see DDR3 more commonly used, the prices or DDR2 will go up.

You dont remember lonely when they were that low? wow well, lol i may be 5 bucks off but i no you could have gotten 4gigs for around the 40-45 range.


I suppose your right, better get them while there somewhat cheap..

I remember when I bought DDR2 for my system and it was over $100 per gig. RAM is pretty cheap now.

Besides, DDR2 is getting phased out so it will be getting more expensive.

I paid ~$80 US for my 4 GB. It's an older technology now. I mean look at the price of DDR RAM now. It's not even worth it.
