Default Photoshop 7.0 - scratchdisk???

I can't load my photoshop because it can't "initialize" because the "scratchdisks are full. what are scratchdisks and how can i fix this problem?

Scratchdisks are some temporary file placeholder of some plug-ins of photoshop. Look at your hard disk,you might have little space availability. You must free some space to your hard drive.After that go to edit-> preferences -> plug-ins & scratchdisk-> then its your option where scratch disks initializes.

It also works better if your scratch disc is on a different physical drive to your Photoshop installation. ie Photoshop on C:, scratch disc on D:
