Acer is also a good brand. I have 3 of them and not one single issue, and about to buy a 4th.

Prices on monitors have really come down lately. I bought the 22" Acer over a year ago for $230, which can be bought now for $149 - $169. So don't worry how low the price is, only unless its a no name brand.

I would really think about buying one that has either a dvi input or an hdmi input. If your gonna spend money on a monitor why not? At least get updated technology for better video quality.

I don't know a lot about monitors...I just buy a nice Samsung and they have been great. I have friends that have other brands (LG, BenQ, ViewSonic) and they always say how nice the picture is on my monitor.

Please anybody correct me if I am wrong...Like I said...I don't know much about monitors.

You have to get a DVI input...VGA just aint gonna cut it these days.

The Samsung SM2343NW you selected has a weird resolution. 2048 x 1152 is the full screen. I think you may have a hard time finding that setting in games and other things. I have never seen it. That will mean when you game...you might not be able to use the entire screen.

I would look at getting a 22" with a 1680x1050 or maybe a 24" with 1920 x 1200 resolution settings. These two resolutions are very commonly supported in almost all games.

Higher quality video using DVI or HDMI. Plus, sometimes you can get better resolution using DVI.
