1. Nvidia GTX 275 2. Radeon 4890 1GB they are both very great cards and performe very well the 275 performes a bit better than the 4890 but what im concerned about is stability. ill be running it with; - intel i7 920 processor - ASUS P6T motherboard - 6GB ram im not gona run sli/crossfire. so i only need the one card. also please dont suggest any other video cards im getting 1 of these 2, thanks in advance. |

The 4890 is the better of the two. It pulls ahead of the GTX 275 in most games. The 4890 can also overclock more the a GTX 275 and it's cheaper. The only reason to get a GTX 275 is if you are going to F@H(folding at home) or you want Physx capabilities.

I don't know what you mean by stable! They are both great cards and really they both perform about the same. Like I said in my first post there is no reason to get a GTX 275 unless you will be folding or want Physx. Also do you want crossfire or SLI.

Depends on how you look at it. Flat out overall performance, I say the GTX 275 is slightly better. But the 4890 usually runs cheaper. Can you tell the difference in performance between the two without a benchmark, NO. So take a stab at it there.
