Default Help with red lines and BSOD

I have vista x64 intalled my system is in my signature. I went to boot up the computer and thier was squigly lines all over and some of the letters were all funny looking... the screen went black and then i got the bsod. i went into safe mode uninstalled the drivers and used driver sweep and then reinstalled and it keeps going back to the red lines after 1 hour more or less. i can't seem to figure out the problem... is it my video card or just the driver? the driver is the most recent one nvidia has released for the 8800gts

Can you give us at least a BSOD error code/message? Does it tell you to stop anything?

How bad is your camera? I bet any camera with any value at all can take a picture (no flash) of a BSOD

Alright, when did this happen? Was it like right after you completed your build? Or did everything run smoothly and then that happened? The BSOD seems to be caused by an unstable nvidia card. Try putting another GPU in there and see what happens.

well of course it's the problem but i meant to say is if it's the video card or the driver? I boot it into safe mode and the lines are thier but then they go away.. i reboot into normal windows and for about 1 hour it works fine then the lines come back and BSOD....maybe the fan settings are bad? I have been hearing some clicking......oh and my temps have never been really great on any of my hardware..... maybe some more fans and faster fan speed on the gpu?
