Driver Issue

I just downloaded the latest driver for my new 6600GT and when once Im done installing it I cant do anything, no games, cant change resolution, nothing. If I try to do anything it restarts windows making me restart to where windows was running fine meaning with out the driver installed. Anyone know hwy and how to fix it?

I would do this:

1. Restore to original state
2. Uninstall the driver (Through Add/Remove Programs)
3. Restart
4. Install newest drivers

1) ^ restore back to original state
2) go to www.drivercleaner.net and download the latest version
3) update it
4) go to add/remove and uninstall the drivers
5) reboot in Safe Mode
6) run driver cleaner
7) reboot in normal mode
8) install latest drivers

Ive already deleted the drivers and then tryed again, didnt work try the newest driver, still didnt work. So right now its at frys getting worked on.
