What is this process running on my pc?

I google this process and no one seems to know exactly what it is offically.

BcmDeviceAndTaskStatusService.exe

Is this malware?

I don't think it's malware. It seems to be some sort of application included with some Dells, but isn't much more than bloatware. Try going start>run>msconfig>startup and see if you can find and kill it.

It has to deal with your dial up modem, its not needed and may be stopped from running at bootup using msconfig utility.
