Default Onscreen software for ATI?

Hey guys, got my 4870 and drivers installed and all that. But I was wondering, with Nvidia cards I used EVGA precision which gave me the option of a display on the top corner of the screen of the GPU temp and FPS. Does ATI have software that can do this?

I don't know of anything like that for ATI although that would be useful. The only software ATI has that I know of is CCC and ATI Tool.

P.S. Time to change your sig

Crap, I might go back to Nvidia 300 series eventually then. I really like precision. Yeah I'm using CCC right now.

Each Manufacture had its perks. But it you Just use Everest itll display all temps and fan speed for the gpu. And use FRAPS for game play.

Haha, how'd you guess? LOL. The catalyst control center has the temps and fan speed, along with overclocking, so thats all good. I'll look into FRAPS, thanks.

Yeah works great so far, just missing the onscreen temps and FPS.

Yea CCC isn't to bad of a program although I hate the new 9.9 version 9.8 was way better. ATI has a software call ATI Tool it's an overclocking utility for there cards. I couldn't never really figure it out but you probably will be able to. Fraps is one of the best utilities I have lets me monitor my FPS, take screenshots, and record videos. You can also use it to benchmark games(I think).

Yeah I tried downloading ATI tools, a friend recommended it to me. But it doesn't seem to want to work with windows 7 64 bit.

Whats better about 9.8?

9.8 was faster to load and had a better layout. Also every time a close out of 9.9 it resets my settings including my overclock.

Try using RivaTuner. works for Nvidia and Ati cards. you can change fan speeds, clocks, all of that. it also has a GPU monitor (frequencies, temps, fan speeds, FPS and more)
