Hi
I am using Logitech X-530 5.1 surround sound speakers. The speakers suddenly developed a Buzzing sound. You can only hear the buzzing sound when the volume is turned down all the way or turned up all the way.(Volume control on the speakers) The buzzing sound is not there in the range between the two settings just mentioned. I have tried all the pc volume settings from off(0%) to all up (100%) with no effect to the buzzing sound The buzzing sound is on all the speakers. It’d does not matter which one of the sound jacks(green, orange, black) I remove from their connecting on the back of the pc, the buzz remain. Even if the PC itself is switched off the buzz remain. Only when I pull the PC power plug so there is no sound on the mother board at all does the buzzing sound go away. The sound connection is not from an external card but from the motherboard The jacks are not dirty. The speakers are not close to any electrical source or cords. The speaker cords do not run close to other electrical cords. Any suggestions would help Regards Burger Last edited by burgervr; 10-16-2009 at 02:15 PM. |

He's already said that the buzzing occurs regardless of system volume, or if the computer is even on.
You could have interference or a disruption within the internal input of your speaker. Example : There's something touching the internal portion of your input jack, like when you touch the plug in on a guitar cord from the amp. Alot of things have current, so there's a lot that can be touching. Your crap could just be going out on you, producing it's own currents and such. |

It's possibly (probably) and earthing problem - one of the 3 wires soldered to your mini-jack may have come off.
