Hey guys, I'm just curious if it is necessary to run both of these programs simultaneously in the system tray:



Whenever I have avast and avira running at the same time, messages like this always appear:



Do these 2 programs conflict each other? Is it best to just run one program by itself? I have already ran malwarebytes' on my system and no signs of malicious software showed up. Just need some input. Thanks

Looks to me like they are both conflicting with each other...you do not need any more than 1 antivirus running on your system.

Personally,Id go with Avast over Antivir....or you could try Microsoft security essentials (google it)

I love Antivir, the best of the free except for its nag messages.

Antiviruses should only be one on a system, multiple antivirus software can conflict with each other(Note- Antivirus, not anti malware such as malwarebytes, superantispyware, etc).
