Default How do I remove Norton Anti Virus?

I cannot fully remove the program and I'd like him to just STFU about him wanting me to buy more subscriptions. I want his a** gone.
I'm looking to download a free Anti Virus software since I'm broke and I'd also like a free spyware / malware + any other thing that zaps bad crap from your computer. I read the sticky and I'm assuming malwarebytes is still the best thing you all would recommend? Does it work for spyware too?

Summary:
Q1) How can I completely uninstall Norton from ever existence at all on my computer?
Q2) Can I have a link to a great free Anti-Virus software that you guys recommend?
Q3) Does Malwarebytes protect you from spyware and other garbage harmful programs that I erroneously install that turns out to be a bad decision?

1) With the Norton Removal Tool
2) Avira AntiVir
3) Yes however only the paid version does this in real time in order for the free one to do it you must first completely scan your computer.

Thanks a lot, Respital. I finally removed the old out of date Norton off my computer with that tool.

The link doesn't work....and is it a 30 day evaluation product or just free? I'm looking for a free one? I don't have any money at the moment or a credit card but I need computer protection.

Umm..also...Are the free antivirus programs inferior since they're free?

No problem, sorry about the broken link.

Here's new link, it's completely free I've been using it for years.

No the only real benefit from paid anti virus programs is that there is support if you are having a problem with their program otherwise it's all really the same.
