Default Block torrent sites from wifi friends..

so i let my buddies hook up to my wifi, and they always download stuff on torrent sites, i need to block these sites, so how would i go about doing that? i know i would have to go into the router settings(192.168.1.254), but where would i find this specific settings? thanks in advance!

Tell them to knock it off or you will change your router key and lock them out.

I agree with bo. If their your friends and getting free wifi, then just tell them to knock it off or limit when they are allowed to use the internet on your router settings.

http://www.opendns.com - there you can setup blocking of certain sites - you should be able to block the tracker easily enough. Try whitelisting ports too so only certain essential ones are open instead.

I know if you have DD-WRT loaded, you can block certain websites, sites with certain words on them, and even...crap I forgot the term but where certain IPs/ports have limited bandwidth.

Ya...Thanks for the replys, well I just blocked ports 6881,6882, 6883, and so on up to 6999. Hopefully this will work, will test tomorrow since i have ALOT of homework on this dam [CLASSIFIED] shit.

You could block the ports or with some routers you can block certain sites.
