Default Cisco switch goes down

Hello,

We experience some very strange problems with our camera security and cisco switch.

We have 7 camera's inside the building (type: Sony SNC-VL10P) and 7 camera's outside the building (type: Sony SNC-RZ30P). They are connected with a swith (type Cisco ) and this switch is connected over fiber (converter in between) to the network.

The camera's inside the building are programmed to go down at 22:30PM . Now, what happens is that the Camera switch goes down too at 22:50PM. This every day!! The switch goes up again in the morning together with the camera's.

Now, the big problem is that the camera's outside the building should stay online in the night, but (probably because of the switch going down) they go down too.

We really don't know what the problem in this case could be!! We thought it would be the electricity going down too in the building at night, but this is not the case. The data switch (just under the planet switsch, but on a seperate fiber pair) stays online.

If anybody could have some tips for us to help us searching and hopefully finding this frustrating problem, we would be very grateful!!

Thanks a lot.

Kind regards,

Geoffrey

Default

I guessing that your cameras get their power from the switch via PoE then?

did you configure for the cameras to shutdown through the switch or through the cameras themselves? if through the cameras... they could also be shutting down the switch by accident. you should check your settings for that.
