I've found a nice pc on the internet for a very low price. Many of its components are better than mine, but I'm not sure by how much. Here is the link to the computer
http://www.arbico.co.uk/Arbico-Perfo...r-p-17353.html That's £100 below my budget, so I can afford to slap on a few more upgrades, but I'm not sure which ones. To compare, my specs are 2.8Ghz dual core Geforce 7300 LE 1GB RAM I was wondering as to what kind of standard this computer could run games on, and how much of a difference I would see compared to my computer (mine can barely run the latest ones on the lowest grahpics) |

Mid-range gaming. Don't know about the site though. I don't like the whole "5.6Ghz (2.8Ghzx2)" thingy

hmm, what do you reccomend i use the £100 for in upgrades? graphics cards? processor? or a mixture of the two? Do you think this computer, once the £100 added, will be much of a change from my old one (which is about 3 years old)

I recon that's a pretty decent price, including laybour.
I recon that could be built for around £300. You'll only get so far with a Pentium D & a 9500GT. What games are you looking at playing? If you stay around here for long enough and learn how to build your own, You could invest that £50 into a mid range conroe / used 4850. .................................................. ...................... Sorry didn't read the above post. If you've got £100 to spend, if you're into ebay you could pick up like I said a mid range conroe + a 4850, you'll see a pretty significant performance gain. What resolution will you be gaming at? I'm pretty sure you'd be able to pick up a E6600 on ebay for less than 50 now. likewise a 4850 used or the nvidia equivalent. they are only £70 new retail. You'll need to be upgrading that PSU aswell if you do do any of these upgrades ![]() If ebay / used isn't your thing, there's not really much you can do with £100. You could buy a newer conroe/penryn for retail, but still be left with that 9500GT.

so if you already have a 2.8ghz dual core, 1 gb ram, your pc can be upgraded for a lot cheaper. 4gb ram-about $80. radeon 4850 for $115. maybe a new psu if yours isnt enough for a gfx card about $70. if you upgrade your current pc, it will be better than that one and you will save a bundle of cash.
