LTB Low End Laptop

hey guys im looking for a lower end laptop for my girlfriends ma, she cant afford much because her ex put her in bankruptcy and left one day and nobody knows where he is.

So my girlfriend and i are looking for something low end but looks alright to give her so she can email, and she enjoys playing pogo. It doesn't have to be great im looking for like around.

1ghz -1.3ghz or a little less just let me know
256 ram
10gb hdd
battery doesnt have to be good
and a power adapter and basically a good working screen and keyboard and such.

I figure getting her this will give her something to do.

Look into the Lenovo Ideapad S10 or S10e, they are great little netbooks... they don't have a CD Drive though. But you can hook up an external one with a USB cable.

yea but for the cost of netbooks i mine as well buy her a new laptop, thats why im looking for something used, i use to have inspirion 1000 and gave it away to a friend of the family so their kids could use it for school, or i would have gave that to her thats why im looking for something used older around the specs i put, i posted an add on craigslist as well but i figure i might as well try here never know what you guys have laying around

My dad has a pentium 4 2.8ghz lappy lying around but i don't think he wants to sell it.

i just checked the size of the laptop - it's got a 17" screen, and it weighs a ton!

i got a Dell Latitude X1. had like a 30GB HD/1GHz Centrino/256MB DDR2 i believe.... i love it... runs ubuntu like a champ... i was using it to tune my car, but i don't need it anymore. ill sell it... just throw me a message..
