Default Far Cry on vista - help me

So i want to play the original far cry on vista. it works, but the patches make it fail. the v1.00 also has no SM 3.0 support.

My question is, which patch will work on vista and give SM 3.0 support?

I really don't want to download them one by one, as the 1.4 cumulative fails, as does the 1.33 cumulative.

Any help? this game is much better than the second, even if it does have freaky face-attacking mutants.

EDIT: Sorry, wrong section. please move to games/consoles
