Ok......i will do the best i can. my wife has sold maybe 5000 items on Ebay. She does a lot of shirts with pictures and works fine. might be a family picture with kids. and would like to add a statement like 'Bush camp with kids'. what ever. its actually for a commercial business. a picture and a name. the problem is she has a bunch of dark blue shirts. the picture is easy enough but adding a name like 'joes machine shop' is not.

ive taken the 'Joes machine shop' in white text. the backround is the problem. i created sample color using text box then a fill color and matched the best i can. dark blue back round using a fill. then wanted to insert the white text. i can not match the dark blue to the same color of the shirt.

i have a canon s3is and was considering taking a picture. playing with the histogram and adjusting.

i have a Microtek Scanmaker S400 flat bed scanner to scan the shirt.

i have not used either the hardware above to try and match up the colors yet. it was just an idea. im trying to find out information about the color scheme. how much black, green, blue, maybe saturation and hue or what ever. then print with MS Publisher, Word or Adobe Photoshop the create the colors. Bottom line is creating the text box and filling the color and printing the text. text works fine. the fill color does not match the dark blue shirt and shows up and visible as a square on the shirt. i just want a match to blend in.
