Default Page finding problems

My computer seems to lock me out or can not find certain pages. It has done this before and I reformatted it. What it does is just say it either can not find the page, or times out on the connection. It is only certain pages and does not matter if I try to go there from any location (bookmark, email, search etc.) so I don't think it is a link problem. Any ideas?

On another note, I have a dell laptop and it says the bios is protected even though I did not password protect it. Anybody know if there is a back door password that dell uses?
